Doctor on Demand is a telemedicine service that is now available for all 47 Medical Group Beneficiaries.
Who can use Doctor on Demand?
There is no limit on how often 47 MDG Beneficiaries can utilize this service. Further, 47 MDG Retirees and Dependents do not require a referral prior to utilizing Doctor on Demand.
All Active Duty Service members must receive a referral prior to utilizing Doctor on Demand. If an Active Duty Service member utilizes this service outside of 47 MDG business hours, the Service member must contact the 47 MDG on the next business day to receive a retroactive referral.
What is Doctor on Demand?
Doctor on Demand is a telemedicine service that can be accessed 24 hours a day. Doctor on Demand can treat the following symptoms and conditions:
- Asthma and allergies
- Cold and flu
- Cough
- COVID-19
- Headaches and migraines
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
- Joint Pain
- Nausea and vomiting
- Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI)
- Sinus infections
- Skin rashes and other skin conditions
- Stress
- Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
Doctor on Demand cannot treat the following symptoms and conditions:
- Broken bones
- Chest pains or numbness
- Ear infections
- Loss of consciousness
- Severe burns or lacerations
- Traumatic brain or spinal injury
- Vomiting or coughing blood
