Health Services

Immunizations

We provide routine and non-routine immunizations to all TRICARE beneficiaries. Flu shots are administered seasonally to all patients. All immunizations are given based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines or provider’s order. Pediatric dependents are asked to remain in the waiting area for 20 minutes following administration of immunizations to monitor for potential adverse reaction.

Influenza Vaccine Update
Flu season is upon us. We are concerned about your health and encourage everyone to get vaccinated annually against influenza.

It’s critical that everyone who is able receives a flu vaccine. It’s essential that active duty service members, active duty family members and other beneficiaries are well-protected from influenza.

Please see the guidance below for getting the flu vaccine here at the 47th Medical Group.

Active Duty Service Members

Active duty and Guard/Reserve members are required to get the yearly flu vaccine.

If you are an Active Duty or Guard/Reserve member and still need to get your flu vaccine, please stop by the 47th Medical Group during any of the following days and times:

Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 11:00am; 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Fridays: 9:00am – 11:00am; 1:00pm – 4:00pm

These are all walk-in type visits and no appointment is required.  Simply speak to either front desk near the patient wait area to receive your vaccine.

If you get a flu vaccine from anywhere besides the 47th Medical Group, please be sure to ask for a copy of your flu vaccination record and turn this document into the 47th Medical Group’s patient check-in desk so we may update your medical records.  The flu vaccination record that you will receive needs to include the following information:
  • Patient Name
  • Patient DOB
  • The date the vaccine was given
  • The vaccine name or code
  • Manufacturer
  • Lot number
Flu vaccines are provided at variety of in-network locations around our local area and can be identified by going to the TRICARE website at:  https://militaryrx.express-scripts.com/find-pharmacy

Be sure to call ahead and confirm flu vaccine times, age restrictions, and cost (if any) that may exist for any civilian TRICARE resource you pursue.

All Other Beneficiaries

If you are an eligible active duty family member and would like to get a flu vaccine for you or another eligible member of your family, please stop by the 47th Medical Group during any of the following days and times:
