Accreditations and Certifications
The 47th Medical Group Laughlin AFB Texas, was awarded the Ambulatory Health Care Accreditation Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission on October 21, 2019. For this Accreditation, the 47th Medical Group underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite survey on October 14, 2019. During the review, a team of Joint Commission surveyors with expertise in ambulatory health care, evaluated compliance with ambulatory care standards related to a variety of areas, including coordination of care, monitoring for procedures that involve use of sedation or anesthesia, infection prevention and control, management of medications, and patient education and training.
The 47 Medical Group holds an additional Primary Care Medical Home (PCMH) Certification with the Joint Commission, also awarded October 6, 2022. For this Certification, the 47th Medical Group underwent a rigorous onsite survey from October 3, 2022 to October 5, 2022. During the review, a team of Joint Commission expert surveyors with expertise in ambulatory health care, evaluated compliance with standards related to how effectively the primary care clinician and the interdisciplinary team work in partnership with patients to provide comprehensive, coordinated and patient-centered care. Our Laboratory holds a certification from the College of American Pathology (CAP) which was awarded June 15, 2019.
